The Lane Gang - Where Everyday is a Journey

Phillip's Page

Hello, my name is Phillip. I am 11 and have a neurological condition called Tourette's Syndrome. Part of that deals with OCD, or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, tics (twitches) and being behind on social cues. To learn more about it, click the link above or go to our Favorite Links page.

Some things that I am into are Rubik's Cubes, karate, piano, collecting things like snow globes, and helping my Dad restore an old TransAm to look like Kitt from the Knight Rider. The car will be mine when I turn 16! Here's some things about each of my interests:

I make some of my own Rubik's Cubes, varying from 2x2x2s all the way to 7x7x7s. I also buy cubes off eBay and stores like Cracker Barrel and Dollar Tree. I like to invent new algorithms but sadly, no, I don't know how to solve one, so that's why I use virtual solvers.

I am a blue belt in karate and go to the Family Karate Center in Montgomery, which teaches a Korean art called Tang Soo Do. It doesn't focus on attacking as much as counteracting and self defense. My 50-year-old female instructor, Master Coker, is a sixth degree black belt. She is known as "The Stranger Danger Lady." I have a lot of fun at karate, and I would recommend it to anyone. I'm also looking forward to testing for my black belt in the Fall!

No, I have NEVER had a piano tutor. I teach myself songs from a program called Synthesia. I've learned songs like Fur Elise, Clocks, Viva la Vida, Crazy Frog, and even Flight of the Bumble Bee, although the last one is nowhere near perfect. :( Oh well...

I have countless snow globes on display in my room. Some are souvenirs from other places, and some are gifts. I have ones like the Space Needle, fish, trains, and places from other countries.

Dad and I started restoring an old TransAm in 2010, and we hope to finish it in 2015, when I turn 16! At the bottom are a couple of photographs from the very beginning. We have a LONG way to go, though!

This is just some about me, and I hope you enjoyed it. Bye!
