Welcome!

This is our family website, and we call ourselves "The Lane Gang."

We are a family of four (plus pets) - parents, Preston and Lisa; sons, Phillip and Stephen; plus 2 dogs and 3 cats. We choose to share about our family on this website because (1) we're all techie geeks and think this is cool; and (2) many people have questions about our sons and their unique needs. Our older son has Tourette's Syndrome, which is widely misunderstood, and our younger son has Asperger's Syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism. Additionally, it's only fitting that the Lanes share about their family here since Preston and Lisa originally met over the internet. While this is commonplace nowadays, it was nearly unheard of in 1996. This is when Lisa thought AOL was the internet and Preston was still experimenting with building and fixing computers, which has led him to his current career of network engineering. We hope this is not only educational, but entertaining as well. Enjoy the site and learning about The Lane Gang!
