The Cats

Tashi

Tashi is a Siamese mix. She originally lived with my brother and his wife until Hurricane Katrina in 2005. They had to leave New Orleans for quite a while, so we kept their cats, Tashi, Marengo and Mietra. Once the cats were ready to leave, we were asked to keep Tashi for a while longer. By Christmas, we received the wonderful gift of being able to adopt Tashi as our own. She loves people, warm laps, catnip, sitting on paper, sleeping on laundry and playing with catnip toys. She's not too fond of the other pets, though.

Lizzie

Lizzie is our outside/inside kitty (because she doesn't like litter boxes). We rescued Lizzie from a cardboard box and thousands of fleas. She did have worms and was very shy at first, but she's healthy and happy now! She has the sweetest disposition with the most pitiful meow. She loves to be held by Lisa and will hang on her like a little child as long as Lisa's standing up or walking around. She loves to cuddle and is pretty laid back, but doesn't really care for the dogs because they usually chase or bark at her.

Laurie

Laurie is our really laid back fat kitty. She is on a special diet, but it's unfortunately high in fat. It would be great for her to go outside to exercise, however, she cannot go outside at all due to allergies. Poor kitty... She enjoys the lazy life of indoors and sleeping. As you can see, she's an expert at comfort and relaxation. She likes the dogs and other cats, but is usually shy around people outside her immediate family.
